Editor's Note: This photo was sent to us by Tom Burhyte
who was a neighbor and friend of Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Randall,
owners of Jasper, the Dragon Boat. Tom worked at the park
and practically grew up there.

om Burhyte worked for the Randall Family, who owned and operated the Dragon Boat at Eldridge Park during the Forties and Fifties. Tom says, "Jasper was the only boat like it in the world. The eyes at one time were red lights that were turned on at dusk and there was smoke coming out of his mouth." Tom says they used to put dry ice in a pail of water to create the effect.
