he photo above is of the American Girl statue which, during Eldridge Park's earlier years was an attraction that drew picture takers from all over the Southern Tier. Below, we see what is left of American Girl after vandalism destroyed her. The Eldridge Park Carousel Preservation Society has gratefully received these pieces of American Girl from the City of Elmira and she will be restored by the Society to once again adorn Eldridge Park - this time within the safe confines of the restored carousel building.
