PARK'S SOUTH ENTRANCE

are coming to Eldridge everywhere. Here are photos by Tom Burhyte
which were taken on July 13, 2009 at the south entrance to the
park. The facade at the entrance resembles what used to be. In
the left margin is a photo of how it looked in 1880. Please click

These
photos were taken by Tom
Burhyte, who has sent us many photos of the
old Eldridge taken by himself and his friends and
family when he, as just a kid, worked the amusement
rides for Bob
Long at the park. He has also sent us some excellent
shots like these of the new park as it is undergoing
a renovation by the Eldridge Park Carousel Preservation
Society.
