Frivolie
Folie - AVAILABLE
for sponsorship
This beautifully hand carved wooden carousel horse was created by the famous Charles Carmel circa 1910. We've named her Frivolie Folie and she was originally part of the herd on a carousel for many years in Ocean City, NJ. She will soon take her place aboard the Eldridge Park Carousel as a middle row stander. All jewels are original. There are no loose joints, seam separations, or cracked paint. The horse was professionally restored by Robert Sanders of Sacramento CA in 1982. Frivolie's tail is real horse hair and was replaced during Sanders' restoration. Sponsorship is by a group of Eldridge patrons who call themselves The Carousel Crusaders. Each Crusader is donating $500 and there will be a total of 40 who contribute to Frivolie's sponsorship for a total of $20,000.
