A limited
edition brass ring (there are 440
of them) with a tag. On Opening Day, brass ring holders will be
invited to take the first rides on the restored Merry-Go-Round.
Ring holders will be called in numerical sequence to take their
rides. Sorry, but WE ARE COMPLETELY SOLD OUT of commemorative Brass
Rings.
.
There were a total of 440 rings made
for Eldridge Park Carousel Restoration project. Each was purchased
for $100. The number 440 is a significant one as it matches the
total number of lights which shine down on the animals from above
as the carousel turns.
A special engraved tag accompanies each brass
ring, numbered sequentially from 1 to 440. Opening Day is on Memorial
Day 2006 Week-end, and the EPCPS will call out all 440 numbers in
numerical sequence when ring owneres will be invited to take the
first rides on the restored Eldridge Park Carousel. One rider per
ring will be able to board the turntable when their number is called.
